Ana Hernandez, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of California (#76385)

We all carry stories shaped by our upbringing, relationships, health challenges, and life experiences. Those stories can influence how we see ourselves and how we move through the world. Yet our past does not define our future. With reflection, support, and intention, we can transform pain into growth and reclaim a sense of purpose, resilience, and self-compassion.

I was raised by hardworking farmworker parents who instilled in me the values of kindness, humility, and deep respect for every person’s journey. From an early age, I felt called to help others, which led me to pursue a career in social work.

For more than twenty years, I have worked in healthcare and mental health settings, including hospital care and a dialysis clinic, supporting individuals and families navigating chronic illness, grief, trauma, and major life transitions. Walking alongside people during some of their most vulnerable moments strengthened my commitment to this work and inspired me to earn my Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential. I am a trauma-informed therapist who works primarily with individuals. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and strengths-based. I strive to create a safe and nurturing space where you feel seen, heard, and empowered to explore your story without judgment. Together, we identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck and develop tools that foster healing, resilience, and meaningful change.

The ways I therapeutically work with clients include:

  • Trauma-Informed Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Mindfulness-Based Practices
  • Strengths-Based Approaches
  • Supportive Therapy
  • Psychoeducation and self-care skill building

I enjoy working with individuals from diverse cultural and life backgrounds and offer services in both English and Spanish. Areas of focus in my work include:

  • Childhood trauma
  • Chronic health conditions and medical-related stress
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Family conflict
  • Relationship challenges
  • Life transitions and adjustment issues

My mission is to help you cultivate self-compassion, reconnect with your inner strength, and create a life aligned with your values. I believe that healing happens in connection, and I feel honored to walk alongside you as you process your experiences and move toward a healthier, more fulfilling future. I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
