Bianca Martinez-Salazar, LMFT

Licensed in the state of California (#142701)

It is a privilege to form a therapeutic connection with clients and enter their world by offering a
welcoming and safe space filled with compassion, empathy, authenticity, confidentiality,
mindfulness, and active listening. I see clients’ values, uniqueness, and resiliencies and
incorporate them into treatment. I use trauma-focused, culturally sensitive, and integrative
approaches tailored to individual needs.

As a first-generation Mexican American, I’ve experienced difficulties with anxiety, acculturation, and cross-cultural issues. I’ve seen family and friends struggle with mental health, poverty, racial discrimination, social justice issues, and adversities in the Bay Area. These experiences have given me the drive and purpose to support others. As a bilingual therapist, I have clinical experience with diverse clientele in a variety of mental health settings: non-profit community-based organizations, in-patient residential setting, and Alameda County behavioral health community clinic. For over 5 years I have worked with children, teens, and adults providing individual, family, couples, and group therapy. I have served clients navigating a variety of complex cases, including: Generational traumas, immigration to United States, domestic violence, eating disorders, substance abuse addiction, depression, anxiety, crisis, self-esteem, acculturation difficulty, adjustments/life transitions, community violence, re-entry, marital/relationship issues, parent-child discord, dual diagnoses, family distress, behavioral problems, PTSD, OCD, sexual assault, autism spectrum, suicidal ideation,
and coping skills.
