Life can feel overwhelming, exhausting, and just plain hard. At times, our usual strategies to cope with life’s challenges simply stop working, or become too much to manage. For those that can relate, I want to welcome you in and let you know you are not alone. As a therapist, I strive to cultivate a space where people can show up authentically and share the full range of their human experience. My ideal client values connection, learning, and seeks to understand themselves and their environment more deeply through both cognitive and somatic approaches. My style is relational at its core, understanding that one of the foundations of healing is being in relation to people that truly see and embrace all aspects of your personhood.
Some of the lenses through which I view the work and approaches I utilize are as follows:
- Attachment Theory
- Brainspotting
- CBT
- Family Systems
- Trauma Informed
- DBT
I have provided individual, family, and group therapy in a variety of settings including community based mental health programs, wilderness therapy and residential treatment. These experiences have helped me to foster compassion for people across the lifespan, and given me tools to support people at different stages of life. I hope to work with people at all intersections of life, and strive to be LGBTQ+ allied, practice anti-racism, be informed about challenges related to neurodivergence, and continue to be open to learning and growth both as a clinician and a person.
Some of the challenges I treat include:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Substance use in family systems
- Family conflict
- Life transitions/adjustment to significant life changes
- Grief/loss
- Educational/vocational challenges
- Trauma
