Clinical Supervisor & Outpatient Clinician
(Full time; Primarily Remote, Potential for Some In-Person)

About You
We are seeking a proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented Clinical Supervisor and Outpatient Clinician to report primarily to our Clinical Director and secondarily to our Clinical Operations Manager. You are passionate about mental health, adept at balancing client-facing responsibilities with clinical supervisory tasks, and have a keen interest in the building of a mental health space. This position is approximately half clinical supervision, half direct clinical caseload. Your experience, skills, and approach will enable you to facilitate clinical growth and oversight, allowing our clinicians to focus on their core work: fostering healing and growth in our clients. You are someone looking to grow into a core member of the Family Spring leadership team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Book 17 hours of direct psychotherapy and maintain all related clinical documentation (with 90% show rate, you will likely see 15 clients per week).
- Formally supervise 6 pre-licensed associates gaining hours toward licensure (approximately 8 hours of face to face clinical supervision per week divided between individual, group, and/or triadic supervision)
- Review supervisees’ clinical documentation (e.g., diagnoses and treatment plans) and provide guidance for improvement when needed.
- Complete 6-month evaluations for supervises 2x per year.
- Act as a secondary supervisor/consultant to licensed clinicians on staff as needed
- Meet weekly with the Clinical Director.
Attend and participate in monthly training.
Facilitate at least two monthly trainings (hour-long) per calendar year. - Ensure that our clinic remains a respectful, collaborative space for all co-workers.
- Work a 40 hour work week roughly from M-F 9am – 5pm (with some flexibility/variation).
Support clinical staff in devising and executing on any needed performance improvement plans.
Minimum Qualifications

Relevant Experience:
- A master’s degree from a regionally accredited school.
- An active, unrestricted California license (MFT, LCSW, LPCC, PhD, or PsyD) in good standing with the appropriate governing body (BBS or BOP) with at least 2 years post-licensure.
- A minimum of 2 years of direct services with teens, adults, and their families (this can include practicum and internship experience).
Availability for a 40-hour work week, hybrid, with some in-person in Berkeley and/or San Rafael, CA.
Preferred Qualifications
- Clinical supervisory experience for at least 2 years.
- Ability to both conduct and supervise substance use disorder (SUD) treatment with adolescents and adults.
- Ability to provide clinical services / onsite supervision in San Rafael, CA at least one day per week.
Compensation
- Salary: $92,500 – $101,500
