Gloria Sawiris, LCSW
MA in Social Work, University of California & licensed in the state of California (#29562)
I help some of the most vulnerable populations with the biggest obstacles in their lives: trauma, grief, depression, and other crises. I am a substance use disorder (SUD) and juvenile justice clinician here at Family Spring where I work with youth in the Secure Track unit (SB 823) delivering the Mindfulness-Based Substance Abuse Treatment (MBSAT) 12-Session Curriculum and offer individual therapy.
My experience includes working John George Psychiatric Facility as a Supervisor, Highland Hospital in the Emergency Department as well as the Highland Inpatient and Intensive Care Units as a Social Worker, and over 10 years of experience working at the Alameda County Juvenile Justice Center.
I received my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Social Welfare, with a Minor in African American Studies from the University of California, Berkeley; obtained a Master’s Degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix; and a Master’s of Social Work Degree from UC Berkeley. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California, I provide professional services in medical social work, clinical care, forensics, crisis stabilization, and management and also serve as a supervisory resource to the skilled professionals I encounter.
