Grecia Alfaro Ruiz, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of California (#136356)

Life experiences can shape how we see ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us. At times, those experiences can feel overwhelming or difficult to navigate. Therapy offers a space to slow down, make sense of your story, and move toward healing in a way that feels supportive and empowering.
I work with older adolescents and adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, navigating transitions, or carrying the impact of past experiences. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in a trauma-informed lens. I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are, feel supported, and begin to better understand yourself.

I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your needs in a way that feels meaningful and relevant to you. Some of the ways I offer support in sessions include:

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)
  • Trauma-Informed Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Family Systems–Informed Therapy
  • Somatic and mindfulness-based approaches
  • Client-Centered and Humanistic Therapy
  • Strengths-based and solution-focused approaches
  • Psychoeducation and skill-building

I’m passionate about working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and aim to provide care that is culturally responsive and affirming. I value the importance of honoring each person’s identity, lived experiences, and community context. As a bilingual therapist, I offer services in both English and Spanish. Some of the areas I commonly support clients with include:

  • Trauma/PTSD and stress-related concerns
  • Anxiety and panic symptoms
  • Life transitions and identity exploration
  • Relationship dynamics and interpersonal challenges
  • Family relationships and communication
  • First-generation experiences and multicultural identity
  • Self-esteem and personal growth

I invite you to show up just as you are. Together, we can create a space to explore your experiences, build understanding, and support your healing in a way that feels right for you. It would be an honor to be part of your process. Click the button below to get in touch.
