Congratulations, you have recognized that something isn’t right and that It’s time to stop and ask for help. Even though it’s rational to ask for help, it can be extremely challenging. Therefore, I am deeply honored that you are considering me as a guide to help you embark on this self-improvement journey.

I have 12 years of clinical experience, am bilingual (English and Spanish), and particularly well-versed in the use of cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques to help patients manage anxiety, PTSD, depression, life transitions, grief, family-related issues, and chronic pain.

I am looking forward to establishing a dialogue so together we can explore your conscious and unconscious adaptive strategies. This dialogue includes discussing your strengths and obstacles, and afterwards, I will educate you on evidence-based strategies to help cultivate the best version of yourself physically, mentally, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.

This process may not always be easy. However, the good news is that you will not be alone in this process. As we continue to meet, trust between us will develop and my hope is that you don’t feel like you have to do this on your own. Also, part of the psychotherapeutic work will focus on cultivating external (social support) and internal resources (self-compassion) to help on this endeavor.

I like to keep in mind an old saying: “A calm sea does not make a skilled sailor”.
