Part-Time Licensed Clinician (Remote)

About You

We are seeking applications from motivated clinicians who will provide direct therapy and coaching to children, teens, young adults, and their families. The ideal clinician will bring their unique history, skills, and approach to the work and be committed to ongoing learning and improvement. 

Alongside having relevant expertise and a curiosity to grow as a clinician, the preferred candidate will be technology friendly and open to further develop their skills that are ancillary to direct treatment, including but not limited to: 1) marketing/promotion through webinars, 2) writing blogs, 3) training of community partners, and 4) using technology to benefit patients.

Duties and Responsibilities

Weekly duties include:

  • Provide approximately 8-12 hours per week of direct therapy services via telehealth in a confidential space and have access to high-speed internet
  • Maintain all clinical documentation using our HIPAA compliant electronic health record (see below).
  • Attend and participate in a 2-hour clinical and administrative meeting.

Other duties:

  • Attend work (remote sessions) reliably and arrive on time consistently.
  • Be properly licensed and/or certificated (if applicable).
  • Abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Family Spring.
  • Respond to patients’ requests for service or calls within 24 hours whether such requests are made in person, by phone, voicemail, etc. or through the Family Spring website.
  • Respond to such requests by meeting, evaluating, and providing services to such patients.
  • Communicate with a patient’s treatment team (i.e., pediatrician, PCP, psychiatrist, school, probation officer etc.) as necessary.
  • Use online EHR to timely complete written records for each patient including, but not limited to: intake notes, progress notes, treatment plans, termination notes, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Family Spring or third parties in conjunction with the treatment of the patient within a timely fashion (by Friday of each week).
  • Keep patient files accurate and up to date.
  • Conduct and organize therapy services in a professional manner so as to maintain and increase the goodwill and reputation of Family Spring.
  • Be respectful and collaborative with co-workers.
  • Tend to other duties which may be assigned by Family Spring.

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Have an active, unrestricted California license (MFT, LCSW, LPCC, PhD, or PsyD) in good standing with the appropriate governing body (BBC or BOP) 
  • Have a master’s or doctoral degree in counseling or clinical psychology from a regionally accredited school.
  • Have documented expertise and training doing clinical work with teens, young adults, and their families.
  • We require a minimum of 2 years of direct services with this population. (This can include practicum and internship experience).
  • Be available for 8-12  direct clinical services hours per week, and 2-3 administrative hours per week.
  • Maintain consistent self-care practices.
  • Be willing to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have specialized training and/or certification in treatments with our patient population (e.g., sand tray therapy, play therapy, TF-CBT, SUD training, trauma-specific training, mindfulness training, etc.)
  • Have specialized training and/or certification in treatments adjacent to our patient population (e.g., couples therapy, EMDR for adults, etc.).
  • Have experience conducting therapy in a language other than English (e.g., Spanish, Mandarin, etc.).
  • Have experience conducting therapy with adults.
  • Have an affinity for technology and conducting presentations / trainings.

Schedule

  • Work hours and schedule may vary depending on patient and Family Spring needs.
  • Applicants must commit to at least three evenings of work per week (as defined by after school hours 3pm – 8pm ) and administrative time as scheduled.

Compensation 

  • Hourly: Compensation depends on relevant experience and caseload size
