Talia Soffer, ACSW
Associate Clinical Social Worker #136928 Supervised by Diana Fuerza, LCSW #26887
As social beings, each person’s life circumstances are shaped by their interactions with systems and institutions such as family, work, school, healthcare, and the justice system. I believe meaningful change requires addressing the multiple domains that influence a person’s well-being, which drives my commitment to a holistic, person-in-environment approach to clinical work. I provide therapeutic services, case management, and care coordination with a collaborative and strengths-based framework, addressing both internal experiences and external factors such as family dynamics, school engagement, financial insecurity, cultural context, and justice-system involvement.
My approach emphasizes identifying existing strengths, building practical coping tools, and addressing institutional barriers to create meaningful change. I am especially passionate about working with adolescents, particularly youth involved in the probation system and those impacted by substance use. I have expertise in supporting teens navigate complex systems including mental and behavioral health, probation, school, and public benefits like Medi-Cal while promoting resilience and long-term stability.
My overall areas of expertise include:
- Substance use and recovery support
- Youth involved in the criminal justice system
- Depression and anxiety
- Neurodivergence, including Autism and ADHD
- Case management and systems coordination
