Yael Levin, PsyD

Licensed Psychologist in the State of California PSY35637

I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with youth and adults presenting with a range of concerns. I have trained in hospitals, community clinics, schools, and group practice settings. I completed my predoctoral internship and postdoctoral training at WestCoast Children’s Clinic in Oakland, where I provided community-based therapy and psychological assessment to youth and families who have experienced complex trauma.

In therapy, I use a warm, relational and humanistic approach. I strive to approach all clients with curiosity, empathy, and cultural sensitivity, mindful of how systems and oppression impact mental health.

I have been trained in the following therapeutic interventions:

  • Family Systems therapy
  • Somatic & Mindfulness techniques
  • Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)

  • Challenges with emotional regulation
  • Trauma- and stressor-related disorders
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Adjustment challenges
  • Questions of identity
  • Adoption/foster family challenges
